The Equilibrium: The Economics of Recovery
Updated: Nov 26, 2019
The SIM Economics Society (SIMES) is back with our annual newsletter, The Equilibrium. This year, our topic is The Economics of Recovery.
The USA articles discuss how the presidents dealt with the economic crisis during their terms. We see how Ronald Reagan’s administration adapted with the Stagflation of the 1970s and how Barack Obama’s policies dealt with the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.
The United Kingdom articles talk about the events that transpired during the UK transit from an empire to European Union Member State and then lead to Brexit.
The Singapore articles take a look at the various strategies and policies introduced by the Singapore Government to reinforce its status as a vibrant global city that is a magnet for business growth, talent, and capital investments.

This is an initiative taken by the student writers in SIM Economics Society. We hope to improve the quality of our issues as we progress with the help of simplified economic analysis and infographics.
